I’ve seen a fascinating trend in the last couple weeks where drivers don’t have their headlights on at all, but do inexplicably have their fog lights on. I’ve seen it across multiple vehicles now, and it confuses the hell out of me.

Eh, couldn’t care less about who sponsored what, to be perfectly blunt. All I know is: Wildly entertaining video. 11/10, would watch again.

Eh, I don’t buy cars based upon whether or not they’ll make me look cool, so I sincerely couldn’t care less if people think it’s a douchebro car.

The cheapest Vanderhall (The $25,950 Venice Blackjack) has less power than the cheapest Slingshot ($19,999 S). It does weigh about 100 pound less, however, but then again: Chuck on the higher-tune on the Slingshot and it’ll still cost less than the Vanderhall, while handily spanking it in every possible metric.

God, those Buick ads are the worst, I remember calling them out for how stupid they were when they first came out. Two other ads I also liked (In addition to the self-deprecating ones) were:

The fact that its drivetrain can be used for transverse mid-engined options like the Fiero?

So awesome to see this in an article! It’s my favourite thing about the SR/S too! I always excitedly show people when they’re looking at it.

*Car moves once out of sight*

I do think it’s crazy that CGI, with its huge teams of people working on it, oftentimes looks work than cheap and dirty practical effects. I don’t know if it’s the uncanny valley or what, but a lot of times CGI just looks fake, whereas physical sets and props my brain just OKs and goes with.

Woah woah woah...

I’ll be blunt, I wasn’t really sold on these things until this article. It actually raises some awesome points, and I get why these are so popular now. You’re right - I’d much rather take this over a Miata.

Eh... A more expensive car that can’t be had with a manual and only comes in wrong-wheel-drive?

That’s a really cool side effect, really, and an awesome story.

This is going to sound silly, but honestly: The single biggest variable for fogging is humans relative to car size. Two humans in a two seater, small car will fog it up in seconds; Two humans in a fifteen passenger van won’t do a thing. The bigger the interior volume of the car, the less of an effect each human within

I am so, so very alarmed by that comment. My expression matches that of Ditto’s now.

Russell Goodman.

Full disclosure: I’m biased as all hell on this, as my wife is a visible minority. It’s beyond frustrating when she can’t get assistance for things, because she isn’t black, she’s Mapuche Chilean. From her perspective, if she wanted to get in to the sport, this program would be no more “diverse” or “inclusive” than

I think you hit the nail on the head: LeMans, NASCAR and Formula One aren’t just R&D test beds, they pull double duty as advertisements as well. Formula E doesn’t have that clout, outside of a passionate niche, no one cares. And to spend that much money and get very little R&D, and almost no publicity is something

I agree - I would love to see more diversity. But much like how I’m not going to celebrate an all-Caucasian team for being all white, I’m not going to celebrate another team for being all black. It’s the same issue.
