I can’t wait for this show. It pains me to see how long we have until the show airs. Gonna binge it in a day, maybe two. Also, I’m going to go against the grain: if you’re going to put Ruth and Sam together, then go for it. Brie and Maron have good chemistry. So just do it. Anyway. Seems like a fun season!

Apparently an unpopular opinion, but I’m very attracted to Marc Maron and I need Sam and Ruth to bang it out and then hold hands forever.

I found this the most enjoyable episode of the new season, and the one that comes closest (though still falling short) of the first. I think a part of that is due to the opening sequence that echoes the Coming to America segments of season one. I always found those the best scenes of their respective episodes. They

I thought this was pretty decent. I can’t believe they gave reviewers the first three episodes ahead of the season while leaving this one, probably the best of the season, out. The open was as good as half of Season 1's Coming to America sequences, and somehow, it made me care a bit about Technical Boy.

It’s not that AV Club is “lefty” and not “straight” journalism, it’s that an amazing amount of material and links are generated by feverishly reporting that “A Person of Note WHO YOU THOUGHT WAS ON YOUR SIDE had a long-form interview, and said this one sideways/hypocritical/human thing somewhere in there, and we’ve

“They don’t do colleges because their fees are too high for colleges to afford.”

“you cant make some of that stuff up unless you have lived through the abuse. “.  What an odd thing to lie about.  Like, you know movies and books are a thing right?

He did push back and she still didn’t release any evidence, he did. Several of his ex’s came to his defense so his other partners do not collaborate how she said he acts with girlfriends. She obviously wanted to punish him in the court of public opinion and his reputation so acting like the article didn’t damage him

This. Thank you. You are absolutely correct.

she chose not to participate.  that means she didnt find it important enough to back up her accusations in a formal investigation from Chris’ employer. kinda diminishes her stance and makes her original statement suspect.

She didn’t and hasn’t named Hardwick, correct? This is something that has bothered me about this particular incident — she published this essay (good for her, and it’s terrible she went through this kind of relationship) but didn’t name the abuser (okay, her choice) but then everyone piled on the guy they assumed she

This women is just so disingenuous, first she accuses “a mildly successful podcaster to a powerhouse CEO of his own company.”) like everybody wouldn’t figure out is was chris hardwick, c’mon. Then she was like I have evidence of abuse but I’m not going to release it and I’m taking a break from social media cause I

All those things are wrong and I never said they weren’t. But yeah, someone losing their career and reputation over a few off-color jokes is wrong, as well. The response will be ‘he’s rich so it doesn’t matter’, but yes actually, it does. The precedent is terrifying. The hysterical pearl-clutching moralist shit from

The 50 superheroes blog post got ridiculously blue, but it was very clearly written in a facetious tone, and was in line with the “theres no such thing as bad taste” style of shock humor that Gunn came up in at Troma. You don't have to think it's funny, but the person he's continually presented himself to actually be

The left does it to itself all day, every day. No one should be surprised some on the right said, “hey, I want in!”

Hunh. The majority is using zero-tolerance policies against the left and minorities in other situations. Who could have seen that coming.

I can’t really blame them. PR is such a fucking minefield right now, they gotta tow the line and play to both sides.

Disney: Sorry James, your tweets are problematic for us. You gotta go.

Disney:

They are a racist and a convicted pedophile who get to work for Disney, while a guy who made bad jokes when he was younger and apologized for them suddenly gets fired because two fascists made it seem like a big deal. Please try to read the article.

Not to mention the fact that the company is still named after (and very likely run by the terrifying cryogenically-frozen head of) noted antisemite, union-buster, and totalitarian futurist Walt Disney.
