I’ve worked through 4 team maternity leaves (all 6 months, so that’s 2 full years) at this point, and frankly, my company doesn’t always do the best job supporting the team during those 6 short staffed months. But I never ever hold it against the mothers themselves. I fully support them having all the time they can…

My US company offers up to 6 months off, with 4 of those months paid + you can add all your paid vacation time on (so usually 3-4 more weeks paid depending on how long you’ve been at the company).

A relative of mine went to law school with both of them - he has always, always said that it was widely known at Yale that she was the brilliant and ambitious one. Bill was also brilliant of course, but was kind of a fuckaround skating by on a lot of charm. All bets were on her from the beginning.
