Unless you’re driving the car at 95%+ of it’s capabilities at all times, the Golf R is a much better option. The RS is great on the track, but that’s about it.

Immigrant cars doing the work that American cars refuse to do.

Happy to hear you grew up and love cars!

I like it a lot, excellent color choice.

Speaking as an unbiased expert, I agree.

That is gorgeous

It looks like it’s the 1960 Abarth Pininfarina 750 Monoposto speed record car.

Yes, steam transport has always been confused about its sexuality.

Active aero isn’t new, but clearly they think they’ve come up with an important twist. Maybe that twist is just a way to get around someone else’s patent, or maybe it’s truly innovative.

Yeah. With heroes like this...

If British people avoided countries we’ve been at war with then we’d never go anywhere.

Hi

thats the common paradox called “ship of Theseus”

As I scrolled down the pictures I was thinking the only actual MGB part was the front grill but then he removed that too. I mean, I like it but it does seem at this point that having a donor car was completely irrelevant.

I was thinking the same thing.  Why waste a much rarer GT body when you could just get a late 70's mg for like nothing.  Or at this point you could just get reproduction fiberglass body panels, zip tie them on and call it a day.

I was certainly thinking it was no longer a BGT (why didn’t he just get a B instead if he was going to hack the roof off), but I think you’re close to the truth: it’s not an MG any more.

not in the slightest. its got as much in common with an actual MG as a Camaro Stock Car has with an actual Chevy
