Says James May...

As an Indian, this makes me feel warm inside. Good luck to her.

I like this! the most important thing are the engineering drawings. It shows it was a well planned and not a ‘lets shove it in the back and weld this and that to hold the engine’, kind of modification that seems to be rampant these days.

Is Stripes local to Texas like Sheets in PA? When ever Im on a trip, I generally try to fill up in a BP or a Shell gas station. I think a larger gas station provider may have better QC than the other normal pumps in small towns..

This could have been great looking cheap intracity car... but nope whey had to go lob off a wheel..

I kinda have to agree, the younger me wanted swoopy sports cars, but now I’m married, and with kids down the line, this is starting to make a lot of sense. I do not want a cross over, need to make a effort not to gag when in an SUV( True story for the ford Explorer).

I distinctly remember a Mahindra Classic Advert pretty similar to this from the late 90s I think.. used to be a news paper ad.

Still paying for the f-up with the GM and the Camaro you destroyed during a press event from a few years back?

Last I heard he was still crap at rally?

damn! how loud does it get?

lol not really....

Mine is a 2011 3 GT.. came with some creature comforts like heated leather seats and Bose Audio.. But the problem with the passing power and crosswinds is still there. and it really sounds like a rattle can in the winter.. I went over all visible screws on the hatchback and tightend them, so that they would stop

I agree, it depends a lot on gearing, but Im guessing the need to compromise between cost and having a peppy car, also comes into picture.(in the mind of the manufacturer I mean)

I own a BMW 6 speed manual along with my Mazda, and believe me it makes a world of difference, with that extra gear, it more smoother, quieter, and thats what I need while driving long distances

Yeah some vehicles have a great final ratio, and they are comfortable at 80mph, but in some cases like my Mazda, it feels like the thought process was there, they wanted to put in another gear but was axed at the last minute to reduce the cost probably.

the 2.5l Mazda engines from 2011 were know to be quiet thirsty.. This was the generation just before the skyactive engines came out.. which I believe is a lot better.

I know right! its frustrating.
