It truly amazes me that this is the stance people are taking. Taking shortcuts in art is nothing new: What about poser/Daz? What about games that use the Unity Asset Store? What about IRAY (which is AI enhanced rendering)? What about using Content Aware Fill in photoshop? Filters that create all sort of things you

What everyone seems to forget when it comes to “A.I replacing human artists” is that A.I needs training data. No artists = no A.I art. There will always be a place for human artists in art.

I don’t draw well. I barely write legibly. Someone like me can use this, and I think that for people who draw well that it could be a beneficial tool. For example, if I have a project that requires visual art I for sure could use AI to generate concepts and someone could likewise use AI to supplement their work, but I

I am real tired of people hating on AI generated art. I both paint and use paint programs, and use AI generators for art creation. Art is art. Does it move you? Does it convey a feeling or moment in time? Does it have deep meaning? Yes, we live in a capitalist hellscape. That’s a societal issue. Sorry you thought you

And sadly, many will dub you a philistine for your opinion. Though I agree with your latter statement.

Why is this a problem? There is no need to “art” any more than there is a need to know how to make a basket, and yet people still know how to make baskets.

Going to be honest a lot of your guys’ alarmism around AI to me sounds like a backdoor argument for stronger IP/copyright laws or NFT-esque blockchains to “protect” images but it’s okay this time because it’s for Small Artists and not Big Corporations (a distinction that does not legally exist). I mean, you positively

I cannot be the only person who keeps reading that they cancelled “WW3" and instinctively thinking “oh thank God, the last thing we need is another world war” before I remember the context.

ugly dork filled corner of the internet"

Are we really having a “They took our jobs” with Ai and artist? I don’t see the problem. If a piece of art moves me in someway, I don’t really care who or what the artist is.

It’s really interesting seeing creative types come to grips with generative AI and learning algorithms and their output. It’s the impact of open source images.

I really hope this screws with people using “trending on ArtStation” prompts.

The only thing I can think they meant was “sub AAA”. This game, whether you like it or not, looks like like a serious attempt at excellence and not as some filler for gamepass.

What do you mean by “games like this”?

I dunno what to tell you, it’s a movie about trees and cat boobs and how we’re all connected by water and plants and shit. That’s some straight nonsense. I’m not connected to nature. I’m connected to extremely mid-tier shows on Apple TV.

Literally the only thing that I’ll accept from this comment is Bette Davis’ hat. I have no rebuttal there.

But twink Leo, get out here, go to jail, awful. That’s not gay culture, that’s “I want something unthreatening” teen girl and wine mom culture. Twink Leo is the crush you move on to after you get over Disney’s

They run around almost totally naked, but they also fuck with their hair. It’s a profoundly sexless movie.

And you don’t get to make a movie queer just because it has Michelle Rodriguez in it! I mean, it helps, but still.

Way to just casually drop in that Quaritch is back. And given how lazy the first film’s script is, I am actually questioning if the movie bothers to explain how.

Terminator 2's nuclear bomb sequence was mostly practical.

I didn’t like Avatar and am not interested in the sequel, BUT I’m genuinely happy that it is apparently good.
