Xenoblade X is amazing and I wish I could go back and play it again for the first time.

I enjoy the Astral Chain cameo as a way of Platinum saying “hey like, we have still been making stuff, remember?"

Dont forget some damn solid writing on fantastic game music. Bobby would be proud, you definitely helped make some new memories.

But wait, if I own the PS4 disc version, and want to buy an upgrade to the PS5 Directors Cut, will I still need to put my totally-unrelated-by-this-point physical disc in? Just to add annoyance to fiscal injury?

I’m really hoping for this game to be the storytelling equivalent of what Astral Chain was in visual style. I loved AC, but they built this really cool world with a promising supporting cast and then never let you have any more interaction with them apart from zipping through levels and minor chats with your team in

I loved that the shell on the cards was removable so you could make your own custom color combinations too. There were even a few games that shipped with memcard label stickers in the instruction booklet, hence my two-toned Thousand Arms card.

Oh, just riding my horse around Tsushima on PS5 because it’s FREAKING GORGEOUS.

It's because a lot of people have also felt this way about this part of this particular AAA game. If you don't want to be part of the conversation that's cool, but don't begrudge others their bonding moment.

If you get through the boat and the mine and come out the other side you at least have Captain Mold Puncher waiting for you, which I personally loved. It's like 3/4 of the game was great, it just so happens that 1/4 that bites is in the run-up to the finale.

It reminded me of how many times I grimaced in RE7 in those first few hours of hearing Jack Baker call you "boy" before stomping you to pieces. I never had that feeling in Village except for [redacted] in House Beneviento. Every squeaky floorboard or slammed window shutter in 7 had my teeth on a straight grind, but

I finally played RE7 when I got it free with PS5 Plus Collection, and it was infinitely better than the trash heap that is RE6. I did the main story and Not a Hero straight through, then came back to End of Zoe the night before RE8 came out just to get back into the story because it was so good. RE7 is way scarier, in

Seriously. I played House Beneviento at midnight, in bed, on my phone, while wearing headphones and as soon as I finished it MY IDIOT CAT got her head stuck in an empty paper bag handle and panic-scrambled all over the house trying to escape it and I nearly had a heart attack.

When the Nintendo Labo first came out there was a video on YouTube of someone playing "Blinded by Light" on the cardboard piano and it seriously shredded. It was enough for me to actually buy Labo, so that should say how good the FFXIII music is.

I’m just going to have to pretend a Kyuta Shiba doll exists, I guess.

I’m actually looking forward to being able to play it the "first time" again, especially for Emil's story arch, since you get locked out of that bit on your second playthrough. Maybe a chapter select will be added this time?

Its going to be a real trip to play Replicant after starting with Gestalt and then playing Automata. I'm here for it.

My favorite music in Automata is definitely Operator 21O’s theme, the music that plays when 9S has to fight her after she becomes a B unit. It’s basically just a pumped up version of Wretched Weaponry, but it’s epic nonetheless. I can hear him saying "Operator!?" now...

Once you get into the second playthrough (and the third especially) it’s honestly like playing a different game, so don’t think of it as playing it again. If you stop before route C you basically decided to just play 1/3 of a game.

I have to say it's "Memories of You" from Persona 3 FES. That was one of the first games that ever made me keep listening to the soundtrack long after the credits rolled, because it's filled with both solid bangers and absolute sobfests. And that ending... Stays with you. Especially after like 165+ hours.
