+1 My greatest regret in life is not buying a lightly used Jaguar XJ in British racing green with dark red interior when I had the opportunity. (I foolishly decided to save my money to buy a house -- I could have just lived in the Jag and looked good while doing it, but didn’t think of that at the time.)

Do I really need to say #MeTooLittlePinkHouses?

Starred because I laughed, but I’m not sure we can permissibly reference that song due to the problematic language in the first verse.

This deserves more stars.

Is Pratt himself going around saying or doing anything that’s anti-LGBTQ? If not, Page can go jump in lake because many (I would dare say most) people who practice Christianity don’t personally agree with everything their church denomination or even individual priest/pastor/minister/etc. advocates. No, there really is apparently a not insignificant share of the adult populationin the US that relates to media at about the intellectual/emotional level of a lower grade-level elementary school student.

Even if it’s backdated, that wouldn’t make it a “fake” document — you can legally backdate most types of contracts, although it’s not necessarily advisable in a lot of situations.

They refuse to watch movies that don’t have predominantly white casts and relegate women to sex objects or plot devices.

You know it’s not actually a contradiction to disapprove of some aspect of an artist’s or other creative individual’s life while still thinking their artistic work has value and meaning, right?

I do have to take issue with one frequent line of criticism of the original movie that tends to crop up these days, including throughout this comment thread, and that’s how a lot of people keep claiming that “it wasn’t actually that good” or “the only reason people like it is nostalgia”.

It would have been better without the running jokes about Moore’s character’s clumsiness. It just got cringeworthy after a while.

And of course the whole effort usually reeks of a corporate cash-grab (although to be fair to Dan Akroyd, he has been sincerely, if crazily, pursuing a Ghostbusters sequel for decades).

More Kubrickian really, when you think about it.

I don’t quite share your antipathy toward musical theater culture, but I did LOL when I read your comment.  :-)

Lillian’s worldview that the #MeToo movement has hindered guys’ abilities to pick up women is literally textbook incel rhetoric and never really goes challenged by the episode

Uh, even if Malek knew, who cares? I don’t judge actors by the directors they choose to work with unless the actor is such a big name that they can pick their own projects at will, which definitely doesn’t describe Malek’s status at the time he signed up for this film.

Keep in mind that the current president got to that position after it was revealed that the former president was an alien and resigned. We might reasonably assume that the administration is being purged of cabinet members and other personnel who had been hired at the former president’s direction due to concerns about

In fact, is that Kara’s apartment repurposed?
