The reason is: because the over polished, icon spamming, popup reminder filled game that is the epitome of “modern UI design” and modern UX in the open world game is annoying, sucks the fun out of exploring, and makes you feel like the game thinks you are 5 years old.

UI, sure it’s not bad. UX... no thanks. I don’t need my character asking me to check my Focus or use my Tarnished vision every 40 seconds because it thinks I’m a complete idiot.

Gotta love it. Yeah, it’s dumb, which is why it’s so highly reviewed, critically acclaimed, and beloved by it’s fans..  all the dumb things they did.

After playing it quite a bit, I put this squarely on the sheer lack of back tracking early on. The game often locks you into moving forward and this sometimes seems to reduce the amount of “gee should I go back with this new power and explore or keep going this way” that happens often in the other Metroids.

From what

You can say it’s terrible game design, sure, but it’s metroid game design.. and fans of metroid are kind of expecting this sort of thing.

The AI in Per Aspera is AMEE as well. Seems a common theme in sci fi

You are wrong on quite a few levels. Nic Cage produced it, for starters, and the script is one of the rejected ones cawthorne threw out which the writers then went on without them to get it made.

There won’t be difficulty options if that’s what you are looking for. From already confirmed that.

They have gone well beyond the point of “until it reaches whatever the initial developers had in mind” and are just expanding the game with new features and ideas that the team have for the game at this point.

The entire lawsuit is very sad, from the state of the company to the utterly heartbreaking stories...

I fall solely on the side of the developer. We have no say in how they choose to design their game and what options they feel either enhance or ruin the experience.

I don’t trust EA with this franchise, especially after the third game. As such, any dead space news is bad news to me..

“Why isn’t anyone buying our games?”

I own a PC and a PS5, I’ll miss out on nothing. Competition is a good thing as long as you can play games from both competitors.

No we wanted Prey 2

Have you heard about Calisto Protocol?

Just a vastly different and much more interesting sounding multiplayer game.

Seems to be a whole lotta manufactured outrage here. When you start needing to allude to gold coins as being maybe seen by some select few who really need to stretch their imaginations as “nazi gold” in order to add more weight to an already very flimsy premise you’ve completely lost the plot.

Didn’t they bring back together Team Silent to make a new silent hill? I heard that’s going on.

Sean has said that they simply ran out of money and had to either release it or go bankrupt.
