The motivation was almost certainly to get video footage on the air as soon as possible to one-up the competition. As has been said, it is much more likely that it was lazy fact checking/source verification than an intent to deceive.

ABC should have been clued in when the video was from Video Production News.

I’ll rephrase a statement I made as a question: what does the coach going crazy on the kicker accomplish? It in no way accomplishes anything positive. It doesn’t make the kid kick better. There is nothing good that comes from it. The only possible results are negative.

I have a scar on my cornea, so I go to the doc a couple times a year for it in addition to my regular annual visit. None of the tests I’ve been given in the last few years are bad. I’m not a Braves fan, but live in the Atlanta area and go to a game or two a year. Took my family to a game this season and when the first chop started, my 10-year old just squinted and kind of gave the whole stadium the side-eye.

I’m not one to seek out conflict or be a dick, but if I knew I was getting fired like Gruden obviously knew and I got a call at 5:00am asking me to come to the office, I’d just ask, “Are you firing me when I get there?”

The pro-Trump wing did it all wrong. They should have sent Terrence Howard to the town hall.
