I also thought the fit was nice. To me, the fact that it wasn’t skin-tight looked intentional and more refined.

Yeah, it’s not even the same silhouette. Basically, they share a neckline, which is no big deal. There are thousands of boatneck dresses out there. The Wickstead dress has a different waistline and a different skirt. The Wickstead dress has an A-line skirt with what looks like two box pleats, whereas Markle’s dress

The wickstead version of the dress has pleats and makes the models boobs look dumpy so I’d say not the same dress. Also I feel like maybe I’m the only one left in the world who doesn’t think an item of clothes has to be skin tight to fit well. That dress looked great on the MM and fabric is allowed to move in my world.

Sounds like my husband’s ex. She even kept the only photos he had left of his deceased mother.

My dad’s ex robbed him blind in court, then showed up at the house while he was gone to just take whatever else she wanted. My dad’s friend happened to stop by to drop something at the house for him while she was loading all the art in the place into a truck. Luckily, his friend (a burly, intimidating woman who never

As I said to someone else, it does not surprise me at all that the kind of person who’d pull a stunt like this is also the kind of person who’d be an abuser. I’m so sorry your husband had to go through that.

I have this tube of Monistat anti-chafing powder gel that is like MAGIC. Every spring, I think I lost it. I go to the store, and can’t find it. I come home, and keep looking and it miraculously shows up. I have had this one tube for YEARS. I wear bike-short type things most days but sometimes that doesn’t work, and

The best anti-chafing gel used to be the Lanacane Anti-Chafing Gel. That stuff was magic - it was what saved me from a world of agony on an all-day Disneyland trip in August. But then they replaced it with an Anti-Friction Gel that sucks.

On the subject of religion: if you can’t find religious compatibility with your partner, it’s time to move on. Because, when you have kids those arguments will be amplified x10. I came close to that and thankfully we both came to our senses and went our separate ways.

I wear my birkenstocks for gardening (in England) all the time. (When it’s wet I do wear my wellies). You need both. And OP, I’d say the latitude is another big adjustment. It’s great in midsummer when it’s light until 10pm, but when it’s midwinter and it gets dark at 3:30 and you have to commute home in the dark,

I love the way tabloids talk about relationships.

Britney and I are the same age and my main takeaway was “wow someone kept their belly ring from the early aughts.”

I’m simultaneously impressed with their strength and slightly nauseated.

scarlett and colin meeting on the snl set:

Attitudes like this always remind of when my grandparents got a brand new carpet in their house when I was about 8 and my siblings were 6 and 4.

As a nanny and an auntie, I’ve taken a lot of small children to restaurants. I tell them explicitly that we’re going to practice our manners. Take them during off hours — late lunch, early dinner for example. And make it an event. Yes, they still make a mess, but how are they ever going to learn to behave if no one

I’m not going to take my kid to the corner bistro any time soon, but the neighborhood place where 90% of the art on the walls is drawn in crayon or marker? That place would go out of business if everyone with kids just stayed home.

I’ve screenshotted this comment and filed it away for future reference, ready to wield on the day that you finally have kids, decide to go for a night out because you just don’t want to cook at home, and oh look who’s here.

Bringing your kids out and having them watch you in a social setting is very important. I took my kids out. Sure they made a mess but we always cleaned as much as we could. and now they behave (for the most part) in restaurants.

Until your kid can use knife and fork and sit quietly through a meal, they stay at home.
