To the moon isn't technically a VN.

The DS is also region free, so you can buy last window off of amazon and have no issues. It's more of the same.

Just gonna say here that 999 is also available on iOS :|

Pretty solid list, one I'd agree with. I would have out Steins;Gate instead of VLR because if you've played 999, you are probably going to play through VLR. 999's probably my favorite game, and I'm a VN nut, so yeah. GO AND PLAY THESE!

Not exactly, but you can act pretty assholish in some games and you'll be sent to bad ends. Think about it; A custom personality means there would be a new script for every interaction, making it almost impossible to script and make a cohesive story because the personality would mess with character interactions.

Check out my Beginner's guide to Visual Novels, it will probably help. I never really found anything that was exactly like Persona's segments because those are focused on friendships and are a supplement to a main story while most VN's have to focus on a main story with the character, but the closest I could think of

I loved To The Moon, it's one of the reasons why i'm such a Visual Novel addict. I'm really looking forward to this :D

It's one of the best 3-5 hours you will ever spend playing a video game, and I hope this one is too.

You'd have to ask fruity about that, he handles editing. From what I know, he hasn't got all the parts yet, and we recorded later in the month than usual, so sorry for the delay :/

Hey... that's offensive to high school students.

My list would be quite similar to this :O

All this sonic cynicism is making me sad ;-;

The only classic sonic game I've ever cared about is CD, but I really love the adventure games, Unleashed, colors and generations (plus some of the spinoffs are really great. I love sonic battle!) The speed is fun, the platforming is good, and the levels are entertaining. I

Technically it is it's own blog. Yes, it might not be under the gawker media conglomerate, and it might be called Ani-Tay, but technically Ani-Tay and Tay have nothing to do with each other, and it's it's own kinja blog. It's just that pretty much all Ani-Tay posters are also TAY frequenters. If you wanted to, Ani-TAY

*insert plug here* Here's my review of one of my favorite animes out there, Kanon.

;-;

Ah, GBD, great work. I'm still snickering about it, and it's been like 10 minutes.

Problem is, most of those games aren't releasing until 2015, so there isn't a lot of incentive to get one now. Definitely the next console I'm going to get though.

The mecha also follow real world physics and so g-forces, power, and oxygen are all constant concerns in the story. Even inertia is a constant fear as once you get too far away from Sidonia, your inertia mixed with your remaining fuel can make it so that you'll never be able to return.
