Torch is smoking crack as usual. Came here for the 228. Was pleasantly surprised to find it. Well done Tom. The 135i would be a good choice too.

Yes I agree. It was a really impressive performance car. But it wasn’t about that. The guy you replied to didn’t get that. And by addressing what he was saying, you kinda missed the mark too. But it’s all good.

I 100% agree. Lexus/Toyota dropped the ball completely with the LFA from a looks standpoint. It just looks... okay. At best. I felt the same about the GTR and actually the R8 when it came out though I grew to love it. If you are going to build a car that is about more than just numbers, part of it better be that

Thank you Adam. I’m actually on the opposite side of the country in Charleston SC. However I’m about to relocate to Orlando to work for the big mouse and another poster mentioned one at a museum in Naples which is not too far away. I appreciate your help though dude.

Well wait. I didn’t do the research, but a couple comments above suggest a regular STX from ‘14 would be about 10K or so less than this. If that’s accurate, this is priced about right. Maybe a couple grand too high.

Til that didn’t work.

Til that didn’t work.

That blue may be it’s best color.

In some cases the argument works. But honestly. How much power do you need? And who really cares if you are a few tenths faster to 60? Or a couple seconds slower around the ‘Ring. Not me. Jeremy said it best. You buy a sports car with your heart, not your head. You buy the one that speaks to you.

Well put. I think the looks killed it. It doesn’t look bad... but who wants to say that when you drop $375k?

I wouldn’t say mostly. Alot definitely are. But all the guys I know who own them aren’t speculating. They just love cars and have the means to indulge.

Hell. The dealers feed the speculation beast by marking cars up from MSRP. They’re just as guilty because that drives what becomes the market adjusted price and then allows the speculators to cash in or the like.

Well that and the looks. They’re just odd looking. But if you’ve ever heard one on throttle, well. You forget about the looks. :)

Yeah it blows totally.

Give me a 599 for looks all day. And who cares about a couple tenth of a second around the ‘Ring. Driving a car like a 488 or an LFA is about the experience. You ain’t gonna make it go that fast around the ‘Ring.

Yeah, I agree. Too pricey for what you got. And it was always funky looking.

It’s not always about being the ultimate performing car though, unless you’re Nissan with the GTR. Lexus didn’t set out to create the ultimate performing car. Driving an LFA is an experience in itself. And I guarantee you wouldn’t give a flying fuck about how fast it goes around the ‘Ring once you actually got in

Well said. It wasn’t built to rule the ‘Ring. It was built to be a special car. And it succeeded in my opinion.

Precisely.

Yeah that’s not true. Sometimes it could be. But not all the time.
