Blatant racism in a multi-billion dollar industry that provides many young people’s first introduction to sex is unimportant?

Great post—yes, this is the first time I really noticed re-used animation. The cheapness of the animation isn’t helped by the Xerox process I mentioned (which apparently Walt hated but felt was a necessary evil since it meant dropping one step entirely—the “ink” part of ink and paint). Some animators preferred it too,…
At some point the black delegation is going to have to settle on a name for male Karens
I don’t mind killing off the Mother. In hindsight it makes complete sense. Why else would Ted be sitting his kids down to tell them all about how he met their mother, with her nowhere in sight to offer her own bits and insights, if she was still in the picture?
I think I could be swayed into accepting the finale if I ever rewatched the show. But...I don’t think I will. It was a great finale! For the first two seasons of the show. Not for where it ended up. So, yeah, I’m good—thanks.
Are you fucking kidding me? These checks are supposed to be supporting people who have lost their income and need to pay for silly luxuries like food and rent. This is little better than the LA Lakers getting a PPP loan.

I like how on the original article the vast majority of people jumping in to say, “Are you fucking kidding me with this flippant question? I’m out of work and/or have debts to pay. I can’t afford to spend this on anything but food and rent. Read the room,”

Yah, if you can splurge on bullshit with your stimulus check, then you prolly have enough money to splurge on bullshit even if you don’t get it.

What a shitty article to write. Many people need this money desperately to pay bills and put food on the table, or at least to offset missed hours. You’re essentially bragging that you’re better off than a lot of other people in a time where a LOT of people are out of work and/or sick, and lots of those that are sick…

Groceries, rent, etc. Talking about “blowing” the money is irresponsible. Tons of people that are getting the money are using it to keep their head above water and you’re talking about buying toys. Brilliant.

But this year, Gervais decided that if he was going to be criticized for punching down with his jokes, then he wasn’t going to be funny at all.
To paraphrase Hank Hill, “you’re not making Christianity better, you’re making comedy worse!”
I can’t believe that Addams Family Values “just squeaked by” between the two Addams films. The Values script, its pace and its comic timing are so much improved over the first film, the original one hardly keeps my attention.

Please please please include Milli Vanilli as well.
Yesssss. I am constantly hoping Disney will give Gargoyles another chance. That show got weird (well, weirder) and melodramatic every now and then, but for the most part it was excellent. I would just want them to get as much of the original cast back as possible—they were phenomenal!
Kevin, would you go so far as to say “that was a hoot”?
While not traditional fantasy (more Time Travel Comedy of Manners), I always feel compelled to recommend Connie Willis’ “To Say Nothing of the Dog”. It’s my favorite book of all time, yes, above Lord of the Rings.
Solid pile of bullshit right there. If I didn’t know anything about science, I might have been tricked into thinking you did.
Right. I was trying to back you up. Probably should have clicked reply on his post instead of yours.
