You need to work on your understanding of the rules. In lieu of conclusive evidence, the call on the field must stand.

The NFL would be wise to first teach their officials what "conclusive" means. Replay is supposed to correct egregious errors yet too often muddles the situation even further.
What is it that you'd like me to do? Walk around telling everyone I meet not to rape anybody?
I would pay $100 to watch the Super Bowl on PPV without commercial breaks.
Yes, rapists are responsible for rape. And until there comes a day when there are no rapists (or more generally, criminals) people would be wise to do what they can to avoid situations that put them more at risk.
I'm not blaming anyone, I'm acknowledging the shittiness of the world and the people who dwell in it. It would be a wonderful place if there weren't people with bad intentions, but that's unrealistic, so EVERYONE needs to do what they can to minimize risk.
Yes, I did. It's such a shitty thing that it even has to be said at all - but the world is a shitty place. If I walk in the wrong neighborhood, there's a higher chance something bad happens. So I take the "safer" route, where something bad may still happen, but the odds are more in my favor.
Car theft also has some concrete evidence - the missing car. Pretty easy to prove that if the car isn't where you left it and you didn't give the keys to anyone, the next person driving it is the one who stole it.
I think all you can really do is let them know that there are bad people out there that may want to do them harm if given the opportunity. It's certainly not right and it's terribly unfair, but the reality of the world in which we live isn't always fair. Your daughters (and someday possibly mine) have to be smart…
Your absurd scenario suggests that Winston (assuming for the moment that he is guilty) would have a problem maintaining his innocence when he's faced with the following options:
Nobody is required to be interviewed by police at any point. Frankly the decision to "decline" through his lawyers is something that every single accused person should do. You'd think the defense attorney who wrote this column would know that. Her clients undoubtedly would have appreciated that advice.
How in the world do you propose that they clear this up beyond a shadow of a doubt? Short of inventing a time machine and sending Mike McQueary to Winston's room that night, this is always going to be "he said/she said".
Winston (and your non-Heisman clients) was well within his legal rights to decline a police interview.
That's pretty good hustle in Rocky IV, three montages in 22 minutes, separated only by Rocky saying goodbye to his son, an intercontinental flight and some establishment shots and dialogue about his Siberian training cabin.
There's an identical screen at the other end in exactly the same position. As far as I know there are no corner screens.
You've got to be crazy if you don't think he knew exactly what he was doing.
Brand and Avery were signed because Duke's previous methods weren't working. K dumped the 94-95 failure on Pete Gaudet, after which they accepted their first transfer, Roshown McLeod, who sat out the 95-96 season when Duke was only okay. That year they signed Brand and Avery for 1997. Anybody who knew where Brand…
Lead us all by example, recruit only players who will stay four years and meet the academic standards of Duke University.
