Very much the same. I avoid EGS if I am at all able to do so, and while I loved the original Alan Wake and was looking forward to this one, A) it’s not a must-play for me, and B) the menu of games this fall is sufficient enough that I am not even remotely scraping by for something to play. So ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I guess it’s a…
It’s only very rarely that I have ever seen a company have so much antipathy for their player base. I don’t know what the fuck Psyonix is thinking. I mean, I do: “Buy your shit from us, not each other. That way we make more money and you make less :)“ but still.
I am looking forward to quite a few of these - Sonic, Mario, Lords of the Fallen, Alan Wake — but the only one I’m truly pumped for is Ghostrunner. I stumbled upon the first one at PAX East and was absolutely blown away by the gameplay and the soundtrack, and the final game once it released was incredible. One of the…
Can’t wait. My first experience with Zero Dawn was on PC with KBM, and while I enjoyed Forbidden West, I really detested playing on controller. Excited to actually be able to aim and do inventory management in this game.
You noticed that too, huh?
I’d definitely be on board for an Oblivion remaster, though idk if it would be enough to change my overall opinion of the game unless it changed some of the core mechanics and added variety to the dungeons. There were so many carbon copy dungeons in Oblivion, it kinda made things boring after a while. And the combat…
I recently replayed TR 1-3, and TR 1 and 2 have stood the test of time. TR3 has always been a bit of a black sheep, and I legit hated it lmao. I think if you go into the first two games with an open mind and understand that it’s a 25 year old series so it’s NOT going to be a modernized experience, you can have a good…
Yeah, you pick him up in Rocket Town after passing through the Nibel Mountains where you fight the Materia Keeper that is in the slideshow. I suspect Cid and Vincent will both be guest characters a la Red XIII in the last game, so that the devs still have some new playable characters to introduce in part 3.
Not sure how Red XIII on a chocobo didn’t make the list, but it might be the single most amazing thing I’ve ever seen.
They optimized it. Just not very well, especially for people using Nvidia GPUs. And the engine is such an overrburdened creaking ship that the game isn’t going to be able to run well without enough resources to brute force it into submission. I’m not someone who needs 120 fps to be happy — I can get by on the ~30 fps…
Yep, this is my biggest disappointment with this game. Nintendo just seems not to understand or care how much the fan base likes Kass. Erasing him (and the Divine Beasts) from existence is just baffling. I was really hoping for *something* Kass-related in a DLC, but I guess he’s just kinda...gone. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I love Bethesda — I’ve put an embarrassing number of hours into Skyrim/FO4 and heartily enjoyed FO76 and ESO — but come on. Todd is a very good PR person, but he is contractually obligated to say that Xbox is everything now, so I put very little stock in what he says. His job is to toe the line for Xbox/MS. Talk up…
Kotaku’s review of the massive game won’t arrive for a couple weeks.
Imagine giving a thumbs down for gameplay issues when you have less time played than the guy who quit the *moment* he saw mechs in the game about mechs that has mechs on the cover art for the game.
Lot of angry Redditors up in this article. I’ve mostly been staying clear of this leak, but what little I’ve seen has been a lot of Bethesda’s toxic “fanbase” trying desperately to dunk on them and shit on Starfield before it’s even released. Which could translate to a significant loss in sales if the internet’s Last…
And new Starfield and new Blasphemous 2 added onto that for me. I’m apparently supposed to “have a job” and also “eat” and “sleep” this fall at some point, but I don’t see how that’s happening.
Two things for me here:
It is the duty of the average video gamer to ensure they are playing as a bald, white male who may or may not be in the Chin Down, Eyes Up™ pose. I, for one, commend the author for adhering to tradition.
