Are you saying my novel length Reybacca fanfiction is invalid?

I think the problem is that so many people (wrongly) diagnosed “too much space politics” as being a problem with the prequels, so for the sequel trilogy they dumbed down the state of the galaxy to the point where it barely even made sense.

I agree, but I also kind of get why they would want to do something with the original cast while they were still alive and then keep the “distant future” possibility in their back pocket for when that’s no longer an option.

I think the place I’m at with the sequel trilogy is to say that as individual films all three of them (yes, even Rise of Skywalker) have a lot going for them but that the trilogy as a whole is a complete and utter failure. The Force Awakens was fun but it set up a Star Wars conflict that awkwardly undoes the

Would have liked more of an explanation for how this works and less construction montage.

So, little Metallica is going to grow up to be a rich asshole, little Slayer is going to be kind of an edge lord, and little Pantera... well, he just better be careful.

In the pop music world, yes, that’s quite ancient.

    Lol, you’re trolling.  Bye.

She has a right to be “offended” and Tarantino has a right to respond to her complaints.

When it becomes this much of a “controversy,” then yeah, he kind of has to answer. Like, obviously he’s not technically being held at gunpoint but if he suddenly refused to speak to his thoughts and motivations about filming a scene people are screaming about it would be... rather conspicuous, would it not?

He probably would have “stopped commenting” on Bruce Lee if Shannon hadn’t wildly overreacted to the OUATIH scene and created a controversy that he keeps getting asked about and forced to comment on.

Disagree. The amount of trailers they show is legitimately annoying (and as someone who usually skips concessions I can’t speak to that) but otherwise they’re good theaters. They have comfy reclining seats, their projection is mostly reliable, Stubs A-List is a great deal, and they’ve been increasingly showing a wider

You can use the “people are starving in Africa” argument to throw a wet blanket on pretty much any fun story about anything, it’s not productive.

Every network and streaming service under the sun has their share of shows that had to be canceled despite having fanbases... except for Showtime... those shows go on endlessly.

This is what confounds me about this “controversy.” Bruce Lee is an iconic figure and not really someone whose legacy needs defending... he’s fine.

You’re talking about the filmmaker who once ended World War II by having the Third Reich get blown up in a movie theater and who in the movie in question had Charles Manson’s reign of terror ended by a dude on acid and an actor with a flamethrower beating up his assassins.

Most trans people would probably say that in an ideal world the modifer “trans” wouldn’t be necessary and they would simply be accepted as the gender of their choosing without needing a special label.  As it is they face some special challenges and because of that they have an identifiable identity group but that

Best portrayal of a male character, best portrayal of transgender.”

First World, Second World, and Third World are cold war terminologies labeling the “western bloc” countries aligned with America (first world), the “eastern bloc” countries aligned with the Soviet Union (second world), and the non-aligned countries (third world). Under this original definition the United States is
