On one hand I think Hillary was massively misrepresented and treated unfairly by wide swaths of society and deserves some sort of public redemption. On the other hand her polarizing features make her not terribly helpful as a public feature and as a result think the best way she can serve her country is by retiring

Wait, Disney brought in the Lopezes to write that?  The people from Frozen?

Kingdom of the Sun isn’t in the vault, it was never finished.  It was re-worked into The Emperor’s New Groove.

Do he can write a dozen articles about it angering people.

HBO owns the streaming rights to Sesame Street and are probably the ones playing hardball.

I wonder whose job it was to watch every episode looking for some problematic stuff to snitch on.

I think Warner Brothers currently has Wizard of Oz. Then again I didn’t think MGM owned Bond anymore either (last I heard Eon Productions has been its own thing selling distribution rights to Sony and Annapurna).

There are a couple of levels of hearsay in there.

The Golden Globes are a bunch of bullshit, but it seems to me that the HFPA is within their rights to be merchants of bullshit if they want to, the question is why everyone is buying.

Don’t know don’t care. Dude is not funny enough for me to want to play detective to try to get all the details. Even if he was... that’s a lot of separate accusations. Doesn’t seem terribly likely that they’re all just conspiring to ruin this c-list comedian’s life for some unknown reason.

This guy is not famous enough for any studios or most comedy clubs to bother fighting for.  He’s done.  Dude should just shut up, hope the general public hears as little as possible about this, and put whatever money he has left into a car dealership or something.

Previous nominees in that category include: Burlesque, The Tourist, Red, Nine, Mamma Mia, Across the Universe, The Phantom of the Opera (2004), My Week with Marylyn, Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, and The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.

Fastest train in America is the Acela line in the Northeast (transporter of many a rich person who commutes between Boston, New York, Philadelphia, or DC), which does have sections that qualify as “high speed” but I doubt even that is close to what they have in Korea. That said I’m not sure that high speed status

Maybe they just do it as a period piece... no pun intended.

What do you mean “lower profile?” He had two albums pre-incident which peaked at two and four, and six of the seven albums he’s released since then have debuted in the top three including three that went to number one with nine top twenty singles. He has a single with Young Thug that’s at number seven in the hot 100 ri

Because you’re American and living in a neoliberal post-industrial society where you’ve been taught to be subservient to capitalist overlords.”

I read the twitter chain that appears to be behind the whole controversy. It reads pretty one-sided, but at the end of the day all it comes down to is “I wanted to unionize the office, they disagreed, and there were a handful of arguments as a result of that.” That seems like a pretty typical dynamic in unionization

But I would argue there is a legit difference in tone through both movies. A New Hope is largely told though the language of adventure serials and Luke remains this fresh faced kid protagonist through the whole thing while in Empire he’s really put through the ringer and is more affected by everything that happens to

Look, I support unions and would likely vote to join one if my workplace tried to form one depending on the details, but thousands of employees a year across several workplaces for whatever reason vote against joining them or vocally oppose the formation of them... are all of them irredeemably bad people as to be

I don’t know about that. It starts with Luke nearly freezing to death and that sets clear tone for the rest of his journey. On Dagobah he’s tormented by the thought of Darth Vader, then he gets his ass kicked by Vader and his hand cut off before getting the “I am your father” revelation that complicates his perception
