Were these shows even in direct competition? Isn’t Emily in Paris a comedy and I May Destroy You a drama?

I mean, it’s always kind of unclear with these goth/horror metal people how much they are genuinely creepy and how much is just performance art and kayfabe. Like, if you took Rob Zombie’s act literally you’d think he was a serial killer but he seems like a relatively chill guy in person.

As a director this guy was one of the hackiest hacks in an era with no shortage of hacks. Dude made movies that were very cynically pandering to teenage boys in wildly inauthentic ways. Was like Michael Bay but without anything like the budget or audaciousness. This is like the easiest “cancel” in the history of #MeToo…

You’d think they also wouldn’t be stupid enough to go to motorcycle rallies or weddings or restaurants or Christmas gatherings or the various other etceteras but this year has proved that there’s quite a bit of stupid to go around.

It’s almost like carrying on a live comedy career during a pandemic is a bad idea...

They did, but I think they were mostly focused on, like, criminal defendants given unduly harsh sentences and the like rather than political cronies.  I think the only notable person Obama pardoned was Chelsea Manning, not sure about Bush.
