Between the gambling addicts and the business owners, I’m gonna point my big fat finger at the business owners as far as who's most at fault.

I occasionally check on the front page of zombiespin (the site’s back “up” if you haven’t heard) just so I can cuss them out the moment they re-allow comments. I won’t click on an article to give them a page view.
It was a entertaining action movie. I hesitate to call it “historical” since, it’s about as historical as say, Disney’s Pocahontas (if not less so). But it is a good action movie.
I’m doing OK—my wife and son came with me so we’re just kinda stuck here together, which all things considered isn’t that bad. Frankly, we may be safer here than in the US lol.
To add to this information, also understand that there is significant evidence governments have been undercounting coronavirus deaths as well. Amounts of all-cause deaths tend to track fairly predictable patterns, yet we are seeing thousands of additional deaths globally beyond the effect of reported cornavirus deaths.
Same link I posted elsewhere in this chain, but here you go:
Im a Japanese Catholic married to a Catholic Latina. She definitely does the Catholic guilt thing too, we laugh about it all the time.
Many years ago, when I was in High School, me and a buddy were up at like 4AM chatting late in summer vacation. This took place after multiple games of NCAA Football (the video game), which if left on the main menu, switches to the CPU playing itself.
I appreciate that. I actually wrote my initial comments without the caveat at the end, immediately felt ashamed, and added them in.
Your best guess is probably less informed than the world’s top virology and epidemiology experts. But at this point, everyone, including the experts, are basically saying “fuck if I know” but that it’s pretty bad. All you need is to see the overflowing morgues in NYC, Lombardy, Wuhan, and Saqqez to know the virus is…
3% isn’t based on global cases / deaths—that’s closer to 7%. It’s based on the Princess Cruise Ship test case, one of hte few “closed world” cases where all persons were tested regardless of symptoms, and then we saw the end result of #deaths/#infected—2.6%.
Ugh. I’ve been waiting for this game to come out since... idk, when the first rumors of a remake began to fly 15 years ago or so? Now I’m stuck out of town on a work trip that likely won’t end for another 3-4 weeks, WHILE stuck in my hotel room working remotely (long story as to why I can’t just come home)... but with…
Yep—especially given asymptomatic and minimal symptomatic transmission risk, where you can be personally unaware you are a carrier, the risk of killing people you know is the much bigger risk. You’re 100% correct.
When the Republican party cuts their own pool of talent in half because they’re misogynists, and the people being cut out are those trying to preserve inequality, I think it’s OK to dance on their graves.
Sometimes there’s just no way around it though. I’m an attorney that deals with international legal cases. My client, a Japanese corporation, has data I need to look at that cannot, under any circumstances, enter the US jurisdiction. Meaning, in order to do work for my client, I needed to physically go to Japan, which…
I didn’t expect to need to explain to someone how to calculate a percentage today, but here we are. The 2nd half of your response was a solid one.
Anywhere from 1% - 6% seems like a reasonable guess, but 2-3% is a number being tossed around accounting for asymptomatic cases based on the Diamond Princess Cruise Ship cases per epidemiologists.
Uh, first, math. 153k/2.23M is 6.9%.
I’d also point them to the book of Job, whose entire THEME is bad stuff happens to good servants of God.
I haven’t gotten a chance to actually PLAY FF7 remake yet (stuck in Tokyo 2000 miles from my PS4, long story), but I would note that by Japanese standards, this is pretty amazingly progressive.
