Yeah, totally with you. When the cast for the sequel trilogy was announced, I was really happy about the vastly increased prominence of POC and women in the series. Also, Rogue One is tied with Empire Strikes Back as my favorite SW movie.

I really, really don’t get this. I’m not one of the people who wanted a carbon copy of OT, nor was I upset about the fact women and POC are in SW, but jeez, TLJ had such tremendous plotholes.

I share your indignation in general, but you should also read some history. Our parents and grandparents generation won some nontrivial progres owing to the 14th amendment, and those gains haven't been entirely wiped.

There has been no case where the Supreme Court ruled an action by the Trump administration unconstitutional and it was ignored.

Trump tried to bar Muslims from entering the coutnry, the Courts said no, Trump backed down. Trump tried to ban all asylum entries, the Courts ssaid no, Trump backed down. Trump has lost a lot of issues in Court (70 times on Consitutional grounds), each time he followed the Court’s ruling.

Youngstown Steel and other similar cases have made clear that although the President has the power to suspend Habeas Corpus, declaration of martial law does not suspend the Constitution. Legally speaking, the President or Barr can no more suspend the 13th Amendment than they can legally cancel the election, or declare…

If they try to repeal the 13th or 14th, lets call that a call to revolution.  Until they do that (or cancel the election) we’re still hanging by a thread.
