More stars for this guy.
I always thought it was an artist’s rendering of a MkII Golf, as you’ve suggested. The rear was never really right, but it changed a lot and the front can’t be anything else. It’s a mix of pre-facelift small bumpers and post-facelift headlamps, but it’s a Golf.
I saw one in person for the first time this morning, on my commute. I almost crashed when I went momentarily blind.
This is going to be amazing!
Exactly. It depends entirely on who underwrites it. Most aftermarket warranties are a waste of money, but there are good ones out there. Do your homework, call some shops, ask what works.
I love that Spyker-tastic screenname.
That’s all true, but it’s another story about the FIA letting Porsche get one over on them. They more or less said “Hey, you’re going to let us race this.” The Porsche was the first of the silhouette GT1s to set the precedent, all in trying to beat the McLaren F1.

Willow Springs! I know the place well. That looks like a converted 934.
We have the same feeling. In high school, a buddy of mine had an ‘86 Max that we messed around with, lowered with TSW wheels and an exhaust. We thought it was a great car, but we aspired to have the then-recent 4DSC ‘93.
If effectively shortens the gearing.
Yeah, we’re going to need more information about that to feed our jealousy.
There is nothing that Ongais’ Interscope livery looks bad on. Spectacular.
What am I doing? Oh, nothing honey, just looking at this Hustler.
