I frankly don’t give a shit about the stars he has because I’m betting more than a fair number of them are a kneejerk response when thinking that they want to take a a Telltale-approach to this game which I’m 95% sure just isn’t the case.

I think the ways in which it’s flawed kind of make sense.

.hack and Xenosaga both have their fans, myself included.

I agree on the jaw amd the hair but he looks good, ethnicity-wise is what I’m saying haha.

I disagree if only for the fact that Cloud doesn’t have to represent SOLDIER, as he was never accepted into it.

I think they’re doing a good job with the remake so far in terms of how the characters look, ethnicity-wise.

Uh huh, but they’ve promised me even more content that I can stumble, explore and have fun with so I have no problem with it being split up if it’s easier/more feasible.

Times have changed, buddy.

I love you.

Fair enough. It’s a hard-to-believe check to cash so I don’t blame you and you don’t seem to be overly cynical about it which is refreshing. We really will juts have to see.

So the thing is, you’re comparing this game to other games which don’t really fall under the same situation.
Final Fantasy VII was developed at a time where Square Enix multi-tasked drastically less and development budgets were much lower. It still took three years to develop.
Metal Gear Solid 4 was a great,

Yes, they do but any business needs revenue to operate so that’s not really a problem if they’re actually being smart and considerate of how FFVIIR is split up.

When you consider they’re developing six other big league games, the eta for a full non-multi-part FFVIIR would probably be six years instead of three.

I mean...I don’t think that’s a fair comparison when you consider that CD Projekt Red is a one game at a time type of company as is Bethesda pretty much.

I think most of their concern is that it would be way too time-consuming and cost way too much to try to fit it into a single game. That makes sense, especially

The original game was developed years ago when video game development was drastically different.
I’m saying that if they’re developing this game on the scale they say they are and we want to play any part of it before 2020, then this is a pretty good compromise.
It sounds awesome for JRPGs to be split up if that means

Fair enough! So.
If what Square is saying is true and everything goes the way they say it will, I’d imagine that it wouldn’t be split up into too many parts. Optimistically, let’s go with three(like there were discs in the original.)
They say they’ll be keeping the general storyline the same but adding more even more

Yes, but that’s kind par for the course with JRPGs. It’s not exactly a genre where people run through the main story and go “Good enough”. A lot of the joy in JRPGs(especially Square’s) is found in exploring, beating superbosses and doing things outside the main story in general.
For the record, though, I never really

I don’t see why people are so upset about after this news. It all sounds great, honestly.
I’d love if they split Final Fantasy VII up into three parts(as it was in disc form) and added a substantial enough amount of new and unique content in each release. I don’t think separating it like this would impact the amount of

It wasn’t? I spent like a hundred and a half hours on it.

I’m sorry but you’re just so, so wrong.
