The Martian winning one for best comedy or whatever at the Golden Globes was one of the worst cases of category fraud I’ve ever seen. It was clearly primarily a drama for starters.

So glad they recognized Banshees of Inisherin for the delightful comedic/musical romp that it is.

lmao this is SUCH a transparently innocent joke, Idk why people are assigning malice or arrogance to it. Probably just bad at reading people or social situations in general

Y’all out there? I thought this was a lot of premiere but it was enjoyable and well edited to give all the queens enough screen time.

How does Aura not know who Bruno is?

The Lawrence Kasdan-written and -directed romantic comedy French Kiss with Meg Ryan and Kevin Kline. I remember really enjoying it when it came out in the mid 90's. As far as I can tell, the only way to watch it now is a bare bones standard def dvd.

As another gay person, maybe we can care about all those issues and find it newsworthy that a prominent 18-year old actor is comfortable enough with his sexuality to come out publicly.

even as a 90s bb queer, it wasn’t just social suicide, it really drove this deep desire to die by suicide too. Having that ingrained as a child persists.

Tell you what though, if I were to ever come out, I don’t think I’d want the response to be “Yeah, we know.” Damn. Just humor me a little.

As a gay person who’s witnessing firsthand the backsliding into anti-gay laws, widespread accusations of child abuse and “grooming,” among the LGBTQ+ community by mainstream political leaders like my own governor (hello, Florida), bricks being thrown through gay club windows, and protestors with guns showing up to

Eight Men Out is clearly the best baseball drama, and what a cast. ML is definitely funnier than BD (I just watched it again this weekend, a true classic) but as wildly entertaining as it is, not grounded in any sort of reality. Bull Durham hits the sweet spot for me. Hilarious, but in service to a story as old as

OMG the “I believe” monologue in Bull Durham as delivered by a minor league catcher is absolutely stupefyingly blecch blecch blecch-topically cringeworthily ridiculous-ly bad

Waterworld is unfairly maligned, mostly because of its spiraling budget.  It knows exactly what a ridiculous movie it is, and is fun as hell to watch.

Tin Cup and Open Range were on cable like every day in the 2000s. Don’t see how they qualify as “hidden gems.” so much as “here are 5 other good Costner movies.”

That’s pretty insulting to Strange Days.

The times we are living in when it becomes necessary to fact check an obvious joke…

I don’t need a factcheck to realize this is a joke, but apparently a lot of Facebook aunts and uncles do.

I also don’t understand for the life of me why they chose THAT particular antagonist/monster. There was no thematic connection to the story AT ALL. So you’re gonna take a story that *seems* to be about gentrification or how modern gender relations border on horror stories but really it’s a fucking Hills Have Eyes

I got laid off last week. I will gladly talk sh%$ about my last company, after my references check out and I land a new job.

Until then: I am super happy with the amazing opportunity (insert lying cheating bastard company’s name) provided me. I will forever be grateful that we worked on such incredible projects

These are the rockstars that roll in, make changes, claim everything is amazing, and bounce (from company or project). Then it gets deployed and they can yell, “Worked when I left!”
