they key change on “dance with somebody” is better than most artist’s entire discography.

Right? I mean I get that the writers are probably in their early twenties and don’t remember any of this, but this is basic Wikipedia-level research.

I miss the days when people kept at least some thoughts to themselves.

Is it so hard to list platforms for these games?

The tradition of past years has been for the commentariat to make a case for any game they thought was not represented here, usually following the format of “I liked [X] because [compelling reasons]”.

“It’s Rings Of Power without the class and grandeur of Tolkien.”

Isn’t that the description of Rings of Power?

Dances with Wolves and Avatar. The former was WAY better than the idiotic latter

I bounced off of FFTA, and I don’t think it was just because of the kiddy aesthetic. It’s also just mechanically different in a lot of ways that some folks don’t enjoy. Also after going back to it a few weeks ago, I’m not a fan of the interface.

I think this is the wrong question. What is more applicable here is “how different is the general culture of mobile gamers to PC or console gamers?”

Exactly. If we want to see 70s fan art movies I want to see awesome Metal Wizard and unicorns

I’m gonna watch this on my cell phone in about three months and then decide if it’s a good movie.

My dad recently put two and two together after seeing a tonne of Avatar 2 commercials that this was a film by the James Cameron. My Dad was like “....wont this be embarrassing for him?”.

This good review doesn’t have my convinced with the recent best picture and best director nods from the Golden Globes I have to

Most of these shows were co-productions. So presumably they had to pay bad robot something for Westworld or Mutant Enemy for The Nevers etc. All of the these choices are penny rich and pound foolish, as they help solve the crippling debt issues the company has in the short term, but will have long term reverberating

It’s like if the head of Disney literally collected the six Infinity Stones and used them to wipe out half of all Marvel movies as a tax write-off.

Is this a case of “saving the company” or more of a “cut ALL the expenses so I can claim to have increased profits for a massive bonus before I jump ship on the drained husk of the once thriving company” situation?

Jeez, is HBO gonna start charging for blue check marks now?

Men was Alex Garland veering too far to one end of the “thinking” vs “feeling” axis, but it was still better than We’re All Going to the World’s Fair.

Outsiders stumble into weird old customs in isolated areas. Shirley Jackson’s “The Lottery” (well, here, it’s just the reader “stumbling across” it) Wicker Man. Midsommar.

Jesus Christ that came out in 2022? This has been a weird couple of years.
