Have seen this several times, people who think that, if they are right, why are people not supporting them? And it’s because that even if you are right that does not mean shit. Like, being right is useless when communicating with other human beings.

Mario teaches typing was kind of big. Were you playing videgames in the early 90s It’s not as if Nintendo hid their Mario licences, they were vocal about them. Just checked wiki and it reportedly sold 800k copies!
Totally different kind of person to the ones I was mentioning - way more known for his contributions to video games and television. I was talking about film, about filmmakers.
it also hurts that terence davies was not even mentioned in av club when he died
I mean, two filmmakers as influential as Kenneth Anger and Terence Davies left as a footnote... it hurts.
EUGENE THAT DRESS.
I started FF saga with FF6 and I hated it. I thought that all the time I invested on it was wasted time, I got super burned out with the turn based combat.
I watched the never ending latest Batman like that. It was, as other comments describe, the dumbest and most amazing experience I have had in cinema.
I absolutely have these recurring dreams, as I am used to go to music festivals (and decades ago, cinema festivals) and found some dubious ones. Going to Primavera Sound and it ends up being a couple of shows on a gym room that actually end up as soon as I appear and there is barely any fun music to dance to later.
“The 90s was an era of “holy shit I may or may not like the movie , but ...the soundtrack you guys!””
Controlled capitalism kind of is, yes. Like, before Reagan screwed it up.
I recall an economist friend telling me “short term economics is a pleonasm. There is no other kind”.
“Based on James Clavell’s Shōgun, his 1975 tome of a dad book (not to diminish it—it’s apparently really good)“
Simu Liu is wearing one of the most gorgeous man suits I remember seeing. The colour! The fit! The texture!
there is some kind of fetichism about how retro should look and sound which I find really weird coming from pc gaming. Tomb Raider had higher resolution on PC and it was as authentic.
“Read a book” is such an ugly cop out for this argument, it’s like “shut up, this debate does not belong here, you nerd”. Also shows that you don’t read many books.
Yeah, it was like PS5 was unavailable or barely available for two years, then two years later is in the end cycle?
I am one of those who thinks that yay romance options to make queerness or pansexualness or whateverness visible, but holy shit it is weird to have romance as a trophy or achievement, as if romance wasn’t really about two people making complicated choices that somehow made them end up together.
I have many thoughts about this
yeah well, fuck that, basically. It's homophobia after all.
