Yeah but “inspired by Stephen King and Lynch” first does not mean high culture, at all, and second does not mean as good as the inspiration. To me the Alan Wake Inspired By are just namedropping, like all those bandcamp bands that try to get followers by triggering nostalgia.

I mean, where to start.

no, people are disagreeing with your view of the matter. Were you expecting just appreciative replies to your comment? Do you think it is a personal attack that people tell you that there were more cancelled shows then and that you may be seeing this with a bit of nostalgia bias? It is not.

Netflix is lately recommending me and my boyfriend the same stuff, and I tell you we have different tastes (me: horror, comic books, some anime, quite old films, he: fantasy, sitcoms, adult animation). So it’s Netflix not giving a shit about your tastes anymore, don’t worry.

On this, I have been wondering lately how much is stupidity and how much just the typical trolling/live shitposting from the right. Like taking Carpenter’s “They Live” and say that it’s about Jewish elites ruling the world. There is a boundary there between “believing this” and “coopting with an excuse just to annoy

yeah was going to make the same comment. If you check most of game pages, reviews that useless one liners get the most “useful” votes. Steam right now is a shitposting paradise, and that translates everywhere.

yeah I also got that. It’s similar to the kind of “politically incorrect” humour you see at the old Leisure Suit Larry games or Torrente films: audience laughs at the very insulting joke but feel good about it because they also laugh at who said it.

I mean, it’s Ken Russell. Even when he played straight, as in “The Boyfriend”, he was extremely bonkers - I watched Lair a few months ago and what can I say, after “The Devils” it was just business as usual. Oh how missed he is.

you never heard of Baldurs Gate even when you are very much into traditional d&d? This is like never hearing about Halloween despite being a fan of slashers

OK nice list but the nerve of talking of buggy games while your site runs on this pile of overbloated undersupported kinja shit.

I am not that much into formal suits, but those pictured are incredible.

everyone misses Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, even the people who have not watched it.

Just a note from myself: even when a regeneration means that another actor and team of writers will give the Doctor their spin, that is sometimes inconsistent from episode to episode. Which is kind of expected when so many stories must be churned out, anyway, and some conflicting visions of what the character should

the only reason neither the original Scarface, Public Enemy number one or The Roaring Twenties are not in the first positions is illiteracy.

No he does not? The scriptwriters do, depending on what they think of the Doctor. The Doctor is never a consistent character, even in its own season.

Yeah life is sad but I never thought of Doctor Who or that Donna ending as life, but very forced plot points that again is a character taking all the agency from a decision that should not be theirs - if we consider this plot point as somehow realistic - and mostly as a melodramatic trope as subtle as poking a finger

wait, so I can understand - the metric of success of a game is no longer units sold but people who decide to play it without stop since it was released?

what is wrong about the thumbnail?

I always have the feeling it’s straight guys obsessed on how other straight guys deviate from the hotness canon. Robert Pattinson is hot, of course, but part of his charm is that even when he is cute he was not a model, not Taulor Lautner or any of the leads of the Scream series, that bland collection of square jaws

I am one of those who has a device for everything (even a portable dap for music instead of my phone) and yet I cannot understand you here. This device, in particular, is extremely redundant.
