my take: my problem with turn based combat in jrpgs is that most of the time you are waiting seconds while watching a full choreo number until your character or the enemy hits. There is a lot of waiting for the animations to finish. In comparison, Wizardry 7 or Might and Magic 5 are super fast.

This is very much a reduction to the absurd in the topic of appropriation: filmmakers should only tell stories related to their very specific circumstances as good faith empathy does not exist. I really don’t think this take has any concern about justice or equality, but bad faith and crabs in a bucket mentality.
