Too bad they made them look like they fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down.

There are tons of lightly used cars for you to choose from that will be cheap and have much better range than you even want.

or... you tack on a required monthly subscription fee

I don’t think that most Tesla owners are “car people

My mother really wanted a Jeep... until she got one.

Not sure what the complications are, but as long as I can pass cops going 10 over and they don’t bat an eye, there is room for improvement.

Weird thing I noticed about the people complaining the loudest about the economy tanking and ruining their lives were people who were following Trump all over the country to hear him say the same stuff over and over while buying and wear every piece of Trump clothing and accessory they could get their hands on. I only

sunk cost fallacy is real, good that they are not falling for it.

The cold weather issue is being largely mitigated by cars with heat pumps that are massively more efficient. also, 10-80% charging times are dropping like a stone, with some cars nearly reaching parity with gas fill-ups. After 200 miles of driving I’m definitely taking a little more time out form behind the wheel than

Even worse, he doesn’t want the contract to end, but wants to end the “mandate”.

at 12 hours I would not want to make that trip more than maybe a couple times a year, and I would definitely fly!

Are you sure about that? Motors and parts absolutely lose efficiency with wear. Maybe not 10%, but there is loss.

EVs already pay a kind of gas tax in some state with an additional annual registration fee to make up for the loss of gas tax.

People need to take a look at their actual miles driven each week and if they actually need L2 charging or just want it.

Anecdotal evidence based on one case (yours) is not sufficient to discredit a much broader sample range. Sounds like you’re also not including some other recommended maintenance.

Are they supposed to ask non-EV drivers if they expect to keep buying EVs??

Near-instant heat in the winter compared to ICE is another nice benefit.

In reality many people don’t need more than standard 15amp 120v charging as long as they top up their battery more frequently, or just have shorter commutes. And slower charging is actually better for the battery.

Doesn’t MA also have some of the best efficiency tax credits in the country?

I got a used EV for my commuter and was more than happy to benefit from people’s unsubstantiated fears of failing EV batteries with a killer deal. I’m fine with that fear continuing as I look to replace our family hauler in the next few years with another EV.
