This whole debacle is only going to slow down an already very slow EV charging infrastructure. Nobody is going to want to install or maintain CCs chargers if the plan is for all cars to switch to NACS. But on the other end Musk probably will not go through with opening the network because it will further kill Tesla…

There are plenty of ICE cars that are more quiet than the federally-mandated fake sound coming out of my EV. And yet, they still also require it to make an annoying beep when it backs up like a dump truck.

Not even close to kinda. Showing a truck driving on well-defined trails and saying it can do better on various road and trail terrains with new AWD is extremely different than saying it can go anywhere and do anything with imagery of driving through a literal river and up a literal mountain.
