Right?? I highly doubt the staff forgot her name!

It said she missed the flight, so it sounds like it was a problem she created from the start by being late an expecting an entire plane to wait for her spoiled ass.

A spoiled brat who was never told no when she was a kid and had remained spoiled and sheltered her whole life.

This is the most important question to ask!

I would have woke them up, at least after several hours. If they want to sit in their seat the entire flight they should choose a window seat. I used to fly all the time, and flights where I knew I wasn’t planning to get up I would choose the window seat as to not be bothered by other passengers who may want to get up.

You move all the time when you sleep.

All we need outside the home to charge is basically the plug on the wall in your image. I mean, you probably don’t even need a lock on the plug. You just need it to be on a wifi-controlled meter that can turn the flow of electricity off and on. We don’t need a giant metal box with an LCD screen, software/hardware, or

Judging by the current powers that be... not nearly enough.

this calls for a classic!

Agreed. Let’s get the federal government to subsidize that instead of Tesla’s superchargers. It would go much further in EV adoption. It may even be as good or better than EV tax credits since it will open the doors to urban renters and condo dwellers if they have charging points all over the streets to use.

Next to dealerships

Just saw this on a site for a charging cord. Never seen this before, but must be the European thing you mentioned and exactly what I had in mind. I guess there are some people (outside the US) smart enough to think of this.

I hadn’t even realized it before today there are L2 cords without a wall box and just some kind of in-line hardware akin to a power brick like 120v cords that is extremely portable. Now we just need someone to get some app developers and some of that sweet silicon valley venture capital to create a service to make it

It’s a great idea, but without widespread adoption and buy-in from other companies, it’ll be nothing more than a niche charging method. I really hope they can make it catch on though.

Had he simply checked to see if the flight was fully booked and then waited for a flight with open seats he would have gotten away with it easily.

Jesus, tailgating is the oldest trick in the book to sneak into a place you don’t belong. The fact that such a method can work in airports is baffling!

Sounds like a lot of work for preparedness that may not be necessary. The only instance I can think you would actually need that is in a hurricane, which you would have ample time to prepare or get out of town before it arrives due to the long range forecasts they have.

A plug in hybrid may be the best option then, especially in highly urbanized areas like FL where people don’t tend to need to commute massively long distances. I worked on Ft. Lauerdale beach and my commute to a cheap rent area was only 20 miles. I could have done round trip on PHEV electric range.

You don’t need a full blown charging station. 120/240v outlets charge slower, but they work, and you may spend an equal amount of time waiting in a miles long gas line.
