Well the GOP has been falsely accusing the government of buying tons of EVs to prop up sales numbers, so naturally they would do that exact thing if they regain power. It’s their standard playbook to accuse the other side of doing the things they have done or will do.
Need to get some fake accounts going in MAGA territory complaining about how the US is “losing the war” on high speed trains. Maybe that will start getting enough people interested on the right to gain some traction in the area of high speed rail in the US.

Even if it were still law it would probably be toothless and they’d find ways to do whatever they want. It’s written in the constitution that the president isn’t supposed to enrich himself from the position of president, but Trump made millions personally in broad daylight and nobody batted an eye.
that’s probably true. Not for just America, but probably for more Americans than people in other countries. I always advocate for people to live below their means and save for retirement, emergencies, etc. But if people really did that the world economy would collapse overnight.
