The mistake with the take on Bullitt is rating a car chase scene from many decades ago by today’s standards, or even 20 years ago standards. It was great for it’s time, but times change. It’s like panning the special effects of a movie from the 60's or 70's based on special effects today. 

Dom’s Charger is barely in the F&F movies, and the DoH Charger was literally a character of the show. You could not have the show without it, whereas Dom’s Charger could be completely missing form the movies, and in most cases is, and it wouldn’t change them a bit.

Because when they buy a car they factor in how long they will use it and it’s residual value. When Tesla drops sales prices of new sales like a stone, the residual value of those cars goes into the toilet and they suffer a major capital loss.

My guess would be that they have realized that the only people biting on the CT are the die-hard Tesla stans who will pay anything for one, and the average buyer more interested in a base model don’t want anything to dow with the CT, so might as well chop the base model and fleece the stans.
