sales are down yet the stock price soared.
True, I’m guessing the Clintons were friends with his alleged wealth and NYC influence, and based on how Musk acts now I’m sure none of what musk had against the right was even remotely genuine unless he only hated that fact that they wouldn’t say the quiet parts out loud like they do now.
Context is key. The subject of the OP’s comment was about Musk, not the incEl Camino buyers, and that’s who my reply was about as well.
I know there is has been some popularity of “I bought it before I knew he was crazy” bumper stickers, but to me that doesn’t cut it. I can’t say that he seemed to clearly be. right wing nut right out of the gate, but he has always had that megalomaniac stink about him that put me off the idea of putting down for a…
It’s no different than the right complaining about “cancel culture” while shooting cases of Bud Light and telling people not to shop at Target for selling things with rainbows on them.
thank god some are seeing the light, but honestly what took him so long?
Any time you say something shouldn’t be sold it is immediately turned into a culture war.
There was a quote from the Movie The Gray Man with Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans where Ryan (good guy) is talking with Chirs (bad guy) and says “I immediately don’t like you”.
Trust fund babies rarely ever know the difference. They’re born into families with parents that valued their own lives and increasing their own wealth over their own children. Musk is clearly a continuation of that trend.

And there would need to be a lot of functional fixes with the current models and their entire business model first. Starting with making repairs and repair parts more easily accessible and…
“The difference is, buying a Lamborghini, Ferrari, McLaren, etc., comes with a degree of coolness and/or tastefulness.”
Not all of them, not by a long shot.
“The man went from a sort of champion of the future (think EVs, space, telecom, etc) to a right-wing shitposter”
My point is the OP makes it sound like this is already everywhere and somehow a photo ID is the same as a detailed face scan. If that were the case they wouldn’t need to do the scan.
But that’s not the same as TSA scanning your face. The OP makes it sound like this has been in practice for a while and it’s too late to opt out.
That key word “new” registrations would have been helpful in this article.
every window is drive through if you want it to be.
Even for many adults. When I wait for an elevator or ride on at work, everyone is always looking at their phone. Nobody can just stand in silence for 10 seconds any more. Grabbing their phone is pure reflex.
