Don’t know what you’re talking about. I’ve flown a lot and never had my face scanned by TSA. Having your license photo in a database and having TSA scan your face in high detail are two different things.

1st Gear: just curious but do those registration numbers include new registration of used vehicles? That really muddies thee water of using this as a proxy for new vehicle sales. It seems to roughly fall in line with other industry data that shows everyone’s sales are up except Tesla which is down, but still it’s the…
Never ceases to amaze how people can complain about being ticketed for things they do knowing full well they can get ticketed for.
“You’re right it does suck they have to use their own equipment, but not everyone is in a position to find another job to provide those benefits.”
Still their fault for not reading the paperwork before blindly singing an agreement tied to the biggest purchase of their life.
Sorry, but if they didn’t read through every rule they would be forced to abide by before buying a house, that is totally on them. This isn’t like clicking on agree to use a website or email or something that is pretty disposable. This is your house that you plan to live your life in for years. Take the time to read…
Wow I thought it was just on a massive chunky trailer. I didn’t realize they could drive it!
Honestly surprised Abbott didn’t come out and make up some bullshit to blame California and send all this nut jobs on a road trip to harass people there.
That means over half the homes aren’t! And I doubt every HOA has the same bullshit rule.
yeah I got a really good deal on a low mileage one because it was the end of of the mk6 run and admittedly a long run at that! But I thought it looked fine for what it was. I really liked of over the gaping catfish mouth style front ends on most cars today.
I didn’t even think about that fact that these people must have garages too. That takes the insanity of people paying for off site parking and commuting to their own cars daily to an entirely new level.
If I were looking at a home to buy and they showed me a contract hundreds or thousands of pages I had to sign before buying, I’d walk away immediately.
or just don’t live in an HOA hellhole.
you did 100% better than the writer of this story
I agree. But prior to this law passing the HOA had every right to restrict the trucks, yet these people chose to live there AND to drive around in trucks... basically pushing themselves into this ridiculous situation. Everything about is dumb. And the HOA rule has been on their books since 1976, so it’s not like it…
I see what you did there. But this rule has been on their books for 48 years! This wasn’t just voted in on existing homeowners who own trucks. People bought into their homes and vehicles knowing full well, or should have read the bylaws to know full well, that they would be stuck commuting daily and paying a hefty…
That’s what’s so shocking about it. I would assume it would be at least double the price of something more standard.
“I don’t know who is dumber. The HOA board who came up with this rule, or the residents who have choose to pay $500 a year to park their trucks half a mile away.”
“Basically, the HOA is saying that the state law lacks the language that would enforce them to not enact the pickup rule against the residents and until the law contains that language, there isn’t much that residents of The Meadows can do.”
“Some residents have taken to parking their trucks in a pay lot over half a mile from the neighborhood”
