When a film’s ending is too real it can lose me. I’m glad they chose the ironic ending over the downer. I’m still wishing someone would fix the ending of The Mist, though, to be fair, I did NOT see that coming.

It turns out it was actually White House adviser Stephen Miller.

I watched it and don’t think it deserved quite the slamming it got. As an action movie it was well paced and had enough going on that I was entertained. More so than by a lot of crap I’ve anticipated seeing (looking at you Alien Covenent). It was a solid mid range movie that had fun moments, good acting, it looked

You don’t want a speedester? Here. He sits in a chair! Take that, internet!

At this point he’s basically an overpowered anime character shouting his move. “Psionic Mind Infection!” “Bad Luck Bomb!” “Violin SOUND BLAAAAAST!”

That’s so fetch.

I read this as “Kinja weird,” which I took to be some kind of cool new slang — like, “Not just weird, man — Kinja weird.” Imma make this happen now, mark my words.

Whaaaaaaaaa?  You don’t think the Flash’s costume should look like it’s made of melted bowling balls held together with piano wire?

The only “inappropriate statements” towards the Fuller House writers room that I can imagine are things like “you’re doing a wonderful job” and “you should all be proud of yourselves.”

Yeah, Charles is showing his ass here. None of this is cultural appropriation in the slightest.

> It is, in the most literal sense of the phrase, cultural appropriation

I absolutely adore Kaluuya’s performance in Get Out for exactly the kind of reasons that Dowd and Vishnevetsky talked about here. He brings a wonderful vulnerability to his role and layers it underneath a defensive wall when he’s with Rose’s family.

The Flash’ costume was the only one I outright hated in Justice League. Cyborg was pretty silly but...whatever. Aquaman was the garish 90's look but at least it was comic booky. Wonder woman looked great, Batman is always decent and Superman was bright for the first time ever. The flash just looked awful.

“Washed out colors for Superman”

Yes it looks dorky and yes that’s the whole point. I’d be so concerned if they went for a grim ‘n’ gritty Shazam.

I have to say, the Madeline cheats on her husband plot was one of my least favorite parts of Big Little Lies. It was not in the book, and felt like it was added just to create a possible second season.

I’m seriously hoping that they don’t plan on making Streep’s character (spoiler I guess?) ...

Stan Lee has pneumonia. :( [TMZ]

Why do the showrunners believe that viewers of the Flash crave darkness? The Flash is a fleet, hopeful, breezy hero, so certainly setting him against enemies that contrast with that makes a kind of sense, but it’s like they think seeing that contrast is why we’re tuning in. Season 1 did so well in part for keeping the

Purcell in particular really flourished in Legends by season 2. I had no idea Dominic Purcell was such a delightful actor. Miller was also working overtime in the charm in the shaky first season. Both of them are wonderful in the newest season.

1. No Jesse L. Martin is a full letter grade knocked off of any Flash episode.
