The wood trim on this Equator reminds me of the printed wood-look material on the current CR-V. It won’t fool anybody, but it’s pleasant enough to look at and isn’t glossy.

Realistically the main things they can do are to alter the suspension tuning (much like the first generation) and maybe have a slightly different differential that locks more aggressively. It always struck me as a Jeep version of the Kia Soul. It’s pretty compact and the ones I’ve seen in the wild, at least, are pretty low to the ground.

I like the fat quad exhaust tips and an actual color! Price seems high, so I had to check what an ’08 TL type-s cost back in the day, and it was nearly 40K. So, jumping ahead 13 years and maybe that’s reasonable?
