You baited we clicked, good job?

Can we switch to reporting the oft chance that something goes right with one of these VW electrics? Maybe they need to re-hire the diesel gate folks to get things to work at VW.

I think part of the issue was track limits. The NASCAR guys use all the pavement where the F1 guys use all of the track. COTA has miles of run off and some of the NASCAR guys were using way more of it than expected.

JOKE ALERT*** It is a truck engine you can get all the rubber stuff from your local truck supplier.

Part of the beauty of these is their exclusivity. It ensures that evert rich dude who buys one can be the fastest thing at the track day. When you show up in a Z06 along with 4 others you have to have some skill to be fastest. But when you show up with this you just pass everybody and can brag all night long.

Not accusing you of this. I hate that F1 has become a Max and Lewis only thing. Mention either of them and instantly their people are on alert. I used to be a Lewis fan, but got tired of the conspiracy theories and hate towards Max.

That whole family and team that supports them is complete garbage.  

And the worst thing is he is an amazing driver. He doesn’t need this stuff to be champion. But if the FIA keep favoring him and Red Bull it taints everything.

The drivers cheated. By driving a car that was the result of extra spending they cheated. Imagine playing QB and knowing the plays because your team video taped your opponent and stole their signals. Would you think less of the QB for winning?

100% correct, I was behind one the other day and thought “Who allowed this?” It is busy and ugly and for no reason. 

Why steal a Wagoneer over a Grand Wagoneer.  Stupid criminals couldn’t even figure out which one was more valuable.  Stupid Stalantis marketing.  

It is going to be fun to watch GM lobby for direct sales to customers at some point.  

Who pre-orders a sub $20,000 car?  These look like a good option if you need a car, but to plan to buy one in advance seems crazy to me.  

It also has the right level of infotainment. Linked my phone and it just plain old worked every time I got in it.

I have had the current gen as a rental a few times and it is a very nice car.  The first time I got one I was surprised how peppy it was and the CVT was actually quite nice.

So happy this site has transformed from stories about driving cars to being focused on stories about people not allowed to talk about driving cars.

Wonder why Lance isn’t driving it. 

I could see him showing up at Tony Stewart’s dirt track and having fun for a night, then getting addicted to dirt track racing.

So the logic is he wants money and doesn’t do ovals? I don’t see him sticking to any one thing. Endurance racing one weekend, NASCAR another. Danny seems like the type to do multiple races in a day, some people have done that with Indy and NASCAR I believe.
