Jalopnik was better before Gawker bought it.

167 horsepower, the EV6 Light gets 232 miles of range.”

The leaf has worked for many with far less range...  I would argue most household with two adults have two cars (at least those who consider buying a new car) so it could work for them

This basically sounds like the Batmobile from last year’s Batman. Good.

I guess it’s a fine option if you’re a lazy rich person, but you can take any chassis, gut it, install a bunch of performance parts, and have yourself a capable track car for a fraction of the price. Then you also won’t feel bad when you smash it up at the track.

I’d say graduating from tracking your daily would be to jump into competition karting or spec miata / spec boxster.

Or just buy a used ZO6 preferably salvaged if you can, and upgrade it for way less that can be more or less on par with this

FWIW, Checo let Max through earlier on to attack Alonso. He could have held him back but was promised the position back if Max couldn’t make it stick (he couldn’t). Checo is a good teammate and significantly better than Max deserves.

There are times where it is beneficial to be a “good teammate” though, and this was certainly one of those times. I agree with your general gist that teammates are competitors first and foremost, but let’s not ignore the benefits to helping your teammate.

LOL, a little tap. Next year, all the teams will go above cap limits!

But if you don’t penalize the driver, you’re effectively penalizing every other driver on the grid. You’re also setting a precedent that the team can overspend to help a driver get a WDC because the driver won’t get punished for it anyway.

Ohh well...I guess it’s now confirmed that Red Bull cheated their way to victory last year. The last major upgrade Mercedes brought to a GP last year was Silverstone, and Red Bull kept bringing more upgrades to their cars after that. There’s no doubt the additional spend would have helped Red Bull get the additional

I say they should dock RB the exact amount of points Max was leading in the championship, so we can have some exiting final races.

The only thing I can think of is EPA testing. The hybrid system should provide plenty of torque for daily driving and be much more efficient during EPA testing. Turbos kill real world mileage when you get into boost, i’m betting they hope the EPA doesn’t get into boost at all during testing and only when you are going

I agree with everything you say, but I want to add that I don’t think it’s overblown to have a red flag if they are bringing a tractor out from behind a barrier. Especially given the death of Jules Bianchi.

unrelated note, I’ve seen couple driving around, and for some reason people go with Black with every trim in Chrome...That is the ugliest combination I have ever seen, in photos it doesn’t look that bad, but in person eww.

If they go to a Jeep dealer and are able to buy a Wagoneer that fits their desires and budget, I don’t think they’ll mind much.

The problem is because it’s a Jeep and not a Dodge or Ram.

Every other automaker has clear brand hierarchy for just this sort of problem. For every Sequoia and 4Runner there’s a Lexus GX and LX. For every Excursion there’s a Navigator. GM even has three tiers, with the Tahoe/Suburban —> Yukon/YukonXL —> Escalade. This
