I always love when the people in charge of protecting people from greed fall victim to greed worse than the people needed protection from in the first place.

OR they could lift it 5 inches and it could do some off roading.

Robin and his butler?

I thought the windows would be a liability back there.  Imagining tossing something into the cargo area and hitting a window and shattering it.

But the bulkhead is in front of those windows.  The driver isn’t gaining any insulation from those flying buttress windows.

I agree on the door itself, but the window and door frame wouldn’t provide any structural benefit since they are not attached to anything.

Why keep the rear windows and door frames?  It seems like you could load larger things by removing that stuff.

So automakers are now taking stuff to Radwood? I thought the whole point was cool 80/90 stuff with people in costumes?

This article will be my new perfect example of why that phrase is important. OK Boomer needs to be said when people spout off with stupid shit like this. Ooo so sorry that your TV show became irrelevant after you jumped the shark too many times. Why not blame a person trying to improve the planet.

So where is it on the road car?

You own me a new keyboard :)

I thought the gas tank was in the tunnel?

There is an amazingly clean red one a couple blocks from my house.  I have never seen it move, but the owner has a couple other odd ball BMWs.  One day I hope to learn the stories behind his collection.  The one time I actually saw him I was in a hurry to get my kids, probably should have just let them wait longer on

I like the fin on the spine of the car, wonder if it helps prevent spins.

Finally an Aston named after a rapper.

A full cage is totally irrelevant for an AutoX car.  Also AutoX car and track car are 2 different things.

I can’t believe nobody has provided the right answer yet.

Hard top is more aerodynamic and slightly safer, even with a full cage.  Other evidence are the fender flares and I don’t see tow hooks.

Former Subaru owner (who can’t figure out how to change photos) also former Miata track car owner. Cars with fender flares and a cage without a hard top tend to be posers, from my personal experience.

On track a hardtop does improve the car.  Better areo and small safety gains.  Plus if you are tall it helps avoid a broomstick test.
