There is a number (in the hundreds of pounds) that it is designed to give way for controlled tension disconnects. But, that number assumes that the aircraft is at the right attitude. A receiver rips a boom off due to binding every few years, so it is possible that they intentionally induced it.

NP - It seems mechanically sorted, and the understated aesthetics are tasteful. It’s still nimble, but with enough power for highway riding that won’t vibrate your feet into jello.

Its design life assumes that it is loaded appropriately. I’m not an Airbus structural engineer, either. But, I’ve never heard of a non-castoring geared airplane that didn’t demand crosswind correction.

Why not the NP205? I had a 203 in my F250 Highboy and hated it.
