It’s easy to peacefully protest when police aren’t indiscriminately spraying you with rubber bullets and tear gas, and out-of-state agitators aren’t breaking windows and setting fires.

You know what the OPPOSITE of those assholes who don’t bother cleaning their car off fully before driving is?

This past storm. I saw a police SUV with only his windshield cleared. I took a picture of the car and the license plate. I reported it. They pretty much told me to pound sand.

You’ll be saddened (relieved?) to know that lazy fuckers exist in Canada as well. Pretty much every snowfall - and in the last week we’ve had three significant ones in Ontario - there’s probably 30% of drivers who don’t properly clear their car off, with a small percentage of those relying only on what their wipers

I lost a headlight this way. This giant sheet of ice flew up like 2 or 3 stories high off of a Transit Connect. I watched it flutter in slow motion wondering where it would land. It was beautiful. Like that plastic bag that flies around in that one movie? Except it smashed my headlight. I suppose I got off easy.

BUT I LIKE SITTING HIGH UP IT MAKES ME FEEL SAFER

100% lazy asshole move. I’ve heard “but I can’t reach” as an excuse. So what? Get a fucking ladder & broom, or buy something smaller. Don’t make your laziness my problem.

That’s one of my pet peeves, along with only clearing a porthole on the windshield because you’re too lazy to get all of the snow and ice off

I fucking HATE people that can’t be bothered to clean their roofs off.

I bet if the protesters were indigenous they would have the resources.

Working trucks don’t need tow trucks to move, the purpose of trucks is literally to move.  Arrest the driver and drive the truck away.

Tell us you’re a delicate white snowflake without telling us you’re a delicate white snowflake.

...tell me how I know you’re racist without telling me...

“Tesla is making the cars less complicated by eliminating redundant parts, which saves the customer money, reduces greenhouse gasses, and makes the car lighter - thus improving mileage.”

Ask one of those engineers how they feel about removing a ‘redundant’ safety system from a device that directly impacts the health and safety not only of the user but the people in the immediate vicinity.

Just ask.

This is a great point.

Well, why wouldn’t they? “They know what they have,” so to speak - legions of fans who will happily-overlook, rationalize, and even defend the company for this sort of thing.

We are of the same mind.

lol, just typical tech baron shit. I appreciate Tesla for all its done in mainstreaming EVs and building a car company from scratch. Truly impressive feats. However, as someone who will most certainly by an EV here in the next few years i wouldnt ever consider buying one from Tesla.

A company that shipped cars with parts sourced at the local Home Depot would do this? I am shocked, shocked I say.
