These cars have a few things going for them -

Luxury car pricing does not a luxury car make.

Its only fitting that the 3 companies should lose out to a not a real luxury brand since they’ve spent the last 2 decades downgrading for more sales. Now with them all pushing touch screens and fake leather I’m not sure any of them deserve the crown.

First: Tesla is not a luxury brand. Convince me I’m wrong. The model S can pass for luxury, but not the 3/Y where the bulk of sales sit. Sure they offer huge amounts of technology, but that’s not “luxury”, unless we’re collectively agree to redefine luxury as high tech 

I don’t have an opinion on the cars but I’m reminded of the Dennis Miller line:
