That’s a serious concern. I see the truss design and I see the engineering need. The bed becomes a WHOLE LOT less useful when you can’t side load or if your nephew walks a big piece of furniture to the front of the bed and then can’t get out. Slide down the hood? 

I was about to agree with you, but I also thought of crash testing. Can they do away with/reduce the size and attachment of side impact door beams if they go with an armored skin?

Do they want to run this down the same assembly line where they build S-X or 3-Y? Or do they want to set up a line just to do trucks? I own a wonderful set of shop tools at home, but I don’t bring them to work.
