I know Sony isn’t the one on trial but everything the FTC has accused Microsoft of, Sony has also done. I think Microsoft is in a tough spot because on paper, they’re a giant compared to Sony. They’re a healthier, larger, diversified tech giant. It’s hard for regulators to separate larger Microsoft from Xbox as a

Sony is definitely getting some weird favoritism here. The fact that everything they have said they are worried about Microsoft doing is straight from the Sony playbook of shit they’ve been doing for more than a decade is pretty clearly hypocritical. People keep pointing to Microsoft being a bigger company ignoring

Surprisingly, “Your refrigerator was built by Samsung,” was not on the list. The number of YouTube videos about addressing ice-maker issues is voluminous—a fact I wish I would have checked in addition to the Consumer Reports review before we purchased ours.

There’s a video of some Republican woman up there crying while begging other Republicans to vote against the bill because of “religious liberty.”

Hopefully Pratt’s voice is better than we all fear, because I think he actually did a really good job as Emmet in The LEGO Movie.

The only non-awesome thing I said about it is that it’s SSD is too small.

Haters gon’ hate, but I love this woman.  I’ll take stimulus from her anytime.

NY dems got their shit rocked specifically because they were too busy trying to get cute and fight progressives like AOC rather then, you know, field candidates that voters wanted to elect.

And she’s been plenty vocal about how state party leadership failed the state, too, I think to the point of adding her voice in calling for the chairman to resign.

Not because of AOC - blame the DCCC.

Meanwhile the cynic in me can’t see comments like this as anything other than taking any opportunity to question the motives of someone who is a woman, a person of colour, and leftist.

Yes, her playing league on her own time for years is definitely a “how do you do fellow gamers” and not that, and hear me out here, she might actually play games?

she’s 33 goddamn years old, what do you think the demographics of video games is like?

she’s younger than me and Ive been gaming since i was little, not sure why it’s difficult for you to imagine.

It’s not that they can’t afford streaming. It’s that they can’t afford a stand-alone box. The Samsung deal tells me they see a future where the TVs themselves will be the hardware, and MS will simply need to develop an Xbox Streaming app.

Cool, so what time should I show up for dinner on Thanksgiving?

It’s not just an extra click, though. It’s extra loading time pulling up the launcher instead of just starting to load the game. It’s extra ads that you can’t opt out of. In some cases, like Ubisoft’s proprietary launcher, it’s pretty much bloated malware.

Last weekend we did a major system move and migration of one of our ticketing systems. As part of the move we also updated the frankly way out of date software and migrated it to the latest level. After months of testing we were prepared to move the tool over and upgrade it with zero change to how end users worked

It was first, or at least very early, and widely adopted for broad PC platform. Similarly Steam wouldn’t get a pass if it only launched Valve games, I would assume.

That’s what I’ve always told people. Get that 30-yr mortgage (with its inherently lower rate) and then make overpayments/extra payments to get it done in 15-, 20- or anything<30yrs. That way if you ever get in a bind or run into financial problems you can always dial back you payments to the original 30-yr rate and
