I got to meet Stuart Scott as a college kid covering Super Bowl XL Media Day for our college radio station. Walked up to him, introduced myself, and he gave me pointers to how to actually survive in the radio/TV industry and what to do before I left campus.

I always loved the clip of Scott doing his warmups in a suit, only for him to up zip the top half of the suit, and the bottom be tear away pants to reveal another suit underneath. Can't find the damn video of it though.

Scott was one of the last, likeable personalities on HYPE. He never quite became the caricature that Berman turned into. He was never too cool or too hip for his own good. He was just himself, which turned out to be more than enough to endear him to millions of sports fans.
