I’m not a Yang ganger, but I do agree that if we wait to address all the impacts AI is going to have on our lives until later on, it will be too late and many people will already be screwed

i’ve been saying that about emilio estevez for thirty years

There’s literally a video of it driving in a storm, in the article above.

Ok, but legit question for Air Force folks - How do I rewing the 30-50 feral Warthogs that fly into my yard within 3-5 mins while my ground troops play?

There could be much dumber moves than picking Julian Castro as VP for the sole purpose of having him work the Latino vote in Texas hard in the run up to the 2020 election.

If Texas and/or Florida shifts to reliably blue, the GOP is fucked as far as the WH goes.

Clicked on the link, very heartwarming.

Glaude is spot on...I’ll give the folks at MSNBC some credit for just shutting the fuck up and letting the man speak. More of this, less of the other bullshit.

Let’s be real: on this very website, with a “supposedly feminist”/progressive readership, the comments section on posts advocating for paid maternity leave (without Google as a Big Bad) always have many commenters-“supposedly feminist”,  progressive commenters-complaining about maternity leave, usually along the lines

I (a female POC) learned, through my last job in tech, to not trust HR with a complaint. My male boss made inappropriate comments to me during a one-on-one. I reported it to HR (a female POC). The next week MY performance was called into question as, in the interim, my boss had gone to 6 of my female (possibly 1 male)

This is why I liked Beto in his senate race. To be clear, I don’t think he has the intelligence, temperament, or skills to be president, but he could have been a good senator because he listens, he’s on the ground, and he’s representing his voters. Maybe he’ll run for Congress again, someday.

In my house growing up, swearing was seen as a healthy way to vent feelings of frustration. Swearing at someone (unless clearly joking) was a no-no. Swearing about the state of things in general was (is) fair game. I can’t think of any more appropriate reason to be swearing right now.

Don’t be obtuse. He’s not in charge of North America. He’s running it.

i’m sad that this is the first time i’m hearing about the garlic fest because it sounds like a wonderful place with wonderful food. one question, though: did your girlfriend get a garlic snow cone?

I’m sorry, sir. This accurate understanding of the constitution is far too originalist for the activist conservative judiciary /s

This. Gun ownership on some level is a debatable right. Gun ownership as a CONSTITUTIONAL right is insane. Constitutional rights are those rights required for a functioning democracy. Gun ownership ain't it.

It would be exceedingly difficult to get it repealed.

If you don't want to repeal the 2nd Amendment, that means you are OK with this. REPEAL THE SECOND AMENDMENT.
