I don’t even think it’s being done unconsciously. I think it’s more of a social agreement in which everyone knows full well that they’re nudging the thing around, but nobody says anything. It’s more fun to feign surprise than to just admit we’re all bullshitting each other.

It’s a fantastic controller, but (and it’s a big but) the clicky c-stick is just decidedly inferior for standard FPS controls.

It’s not clear to me that the game has servers. It certainly had a lot of DLC, but I always figured that was hosted by Sony just like anything else in the PSN store.

But Benny also needed to be designed to accept passengers and carry on a conversation with them during the ride. This isn’t true of Pixar’s cars, who live in their own universe entirely.

I find that the “live tile” for the Windows app is really iffy. More often than not, it just changes to a generic icon of the sun, with no information at all. And even when it does show some information, it can’t be trusted because the live tile updates so unreliably.

The part about going to bed is easily corrected. Nobody is forcing you to use the Kindle’s light, and the device is perfectly readable with a bedside lamp if you were worried about the effect on your sleep cycle.

If only there were an option to not buy games that work this way.

Except you’re missing the point.

This leaves out the other Amazon options.

It’s hard to emphasize this enough, but an e-ink reader is a much better experience than reading on a phone or tablet. It’s like saying that you don’t understand why people bother to grill hamburgers in their backyard when there’s a McDonald’s right up the road.

I worry that 2 and 3 trip over each other a bit. Honestly, that 3rd point has an “all lives matter” ring to it.

Wish I had a screenshot, but there’s a great moment in Mario and Rabbids Kingdom Battle where, after clearing the Sherbet Desert, Beep-O remarks “...and now we all know how to spell sherbet. Boy, was that a surprise.”

Ugh... posted on the wrong article.

Man, Dune on the Sega Genesis was my first taste of RTS back when I was a kid. It was like nothing I had ever seen.

This weekend, I’m finally going to do the Trials of the Sword in BotW.

I thought this boss was insane at first, but it follows very rigid patterns. You can beat it without taking any damage once you know them. In that regard, it’s actually easier than a lot of Metroid bosses that essentially assume you can just tank hits while you spam missiles.

I know this is going to come across as “get gud,” and I don’t mean it to.

The fact that this terminology is used in the army is a poor defense.
