I beg to differ. One of his A ball teammates is Milton Ramos who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2014 draft and paid a bonus of $750,000. The Mets obviously looked at this kid and thought there was a player there. Ramos sports a .555 in 585 plate appearances in A ball. Tebow’s is .648.

My first paragraph was a response to the comment “But, he’s not a better baseball player than the kid he’s around”, not an argument for his promotion. He is a better ball player than many of the kids he’s around. And all of them have been playing affiliated ball for a lot longer than he has.

I’m not a Tebow fan. But I do think that very few people could play only 2 years of high school baseball and then pick up the game 10 years later and play at a level where they are not clearly the worst player on an affiliated minor league baseball team.
