Email? That’s for olds and accountants. People today want a tweet, snap or sext or something from their car.
It really is, my aunt had an Elantra back in the early to mid 2000's that was an absolute piece of garbage. I had a ‘16 Elantra for a long term rental, it was dreadfully boring but not a terrible car. I would easily recommend it to someone who looks at cars as an appliance.
While engines are assembled here for a lot of companies, the engine parts aren’t made here. For example there is no casting facility in the US that can handle large scale engine block production.
People would actually pay more attention to car maintenance if it were presented in this way. Make it an app and have a winner
Eh, the Focus has had shitty reliability ratings for years. Making it in China probably won’t help matters much, but it’s not like it was a marvel of American engineering to begin with.
...so you don’t own any electronic devices, right?
The Focus will come with fortune cookie type slips of paper with maintenance related predictions instead of an owners manual.
COTD candidate, for sure. It took me a minute to figure it out, but brilliant.
Trump: “Stop building cars in Mexico!”
probably the most underrated comment I’ve seen here in a while. Laughed super hard the longer i thought about it.
Does this mean I’ll feel the need to drive my Focus again after an hour?
Raise your hand if you think North Korea will suspend or dismantle their nuclear weapons program if they get what they want from South Korea. They have absolutely no reason to do that. No matter what they promise in the future, their actions have shown that they do not honor agreements.
You’d need to compare it to the RS5 for a true performance comparison. It’s competitive with the C63 and the M3 as well. Price and bang for the buck isn’t the issue. The issue is a poor dealership network compounding reliability doubts. It’s one thing to have an unreliable car the dealer can make up for with 5-star…
Exactly. Even Honda and Toyota had to dump their prices to near break-even when they started selling cars here, and allow the test of time to build consumer confidence.
I wouldn’t touch a crossover outside a Subaru Outback, these seem to at least hold their value better than the rest of the pack.
